WISH LIST

This is a list of things we are always in need of, and would be very grateful for. The items that are light and easy to post can be sent to the above address. For heavier items, if you live in the Wiltshire/Somerset/Bristol areas, we may be able to collect them from you. Please email us on info@glwr.org.uk if you can help.

STAMPS
BLANKETS - GLWR is always in desperate need of blankets and Vet Bed for our dogs in kennels. They can be second-hand and just need to be usable, not necessarily beautiful

TRANSPORT

We have a good transport system in place but could always do with people who would be willing to do the odd pick up in emergencies. If you are in the Chippenham/Lyneham area and would like to make yourself available to transport dogs to our kennels on an occasional basis please phone us on 01793 322602.

FUNDRAISING

Please contact us if you would like to help GLWR by raising money or volunteering in other ways!

The dogs in our care are totally dependent on us for all their needs. We receive no funding from the greyhound racing industry and are totally dependent on you to support us by raising money and donations. Each dog in kennels costs us £7.50 per day, or £52.50 per week, plus food. We add to this the costs of neutering, innoculations, flea and worm treatments, health checks and dental work.

If you can help us in any way, whether that be by holding a boot fair stall, holding a fund-raising coffee morning or having a fund-raising walk, please contact us. If you can help in this way, please contact us at info@glwr.org.uk so that we can publicise your event on our website. Just sending us a book of stamps is helpful.

If you can organise a street collection for us, we can supply collection boxes and flyers. You will need permission from your local council, or, if it takes place on a business premise, the owner of the business. Our registered charity number is given on the home page of this website. Donations by standing order are very useful to us, as we then have an idea about how much money is coming in each month. If you are able to donate by standing order, please download and fill in our Standing order form
