DOG OF THE MONTH

RED JACK

Red Jack is desperate for a home of his own. He is not enjoying kennel life and is really pulling at the heart strings of the kennel staff and volunteers. He is a friendly boy and is a pleasure to walk but he is not happy. He needs his own family to give him love and comfort and to make him feel special.

This boy worked so hard earning racing money for someone - now, no longer needed or valued by his previous owner, he needs to find a family who will treat him with the love, care and consideration he has always deserved. He is spotlessly clean in his kennel, a dream to walk and as stunningly handsome in real life as in his photos.

One of our regular dog walkers, Sarah tells us: "Red Jack really enjoys his cuddles and affection.  He often pulls back when its time to go back into his kennel as he would rather stay with you, glued to your leg.  He is such a stunning dog, his big brown eyes are so soulful and they plead with you to stay with him. I often feel very guilty when I put him back after his walk.  He seems sociable with the other dogs, but a calm or older doggy companion would probably work well for him, as would equally a family with no other dogs.  Older Children would be preferred as he really needs to rest. He just looks totally exhuasted and needs his comfy bed to recoup.  Once he has I am sure his cheeky nature will start shining through in abundance and he might even show you how high he can jump... as always a secure garden with a 6ft fence is a must.  We would be delighted to introduce you to this special lad so please contact us if he sounds right for you!"
