Amongst the works featured are pieces inspired by some of our dogs. Rob came to visit the kennels in September to make sketches, take photographs and make notes about the stories behind the dogs awaiting homes. Do come along and see the results.





DESPERATELY NEEDED
Second hand blizzard and kennel coats

The weather is starting to turn cold and the dogs in our kennels are in need of snuggly kennel coats and blizzard coats as their current supply is very shabby and worn. So, if you've just treated your hound to a new coat, why not send us the old one and help make a kennel hound warm and snug this winter?

FUNDS4GREYHOUNDS

A big thank you to the brilliant Funds4greyhounds for their fantastic donation cheques.

Funds4greyhounds have just set up an ebay shop to raise funds for several greyhound rescue charities including GLWR. They are in the Bracknell, Berkshire area and are always looking for clothes and other goods to sell so if you know anyone fairly local who has some items to donate, please let us know. Clothes in good condition sell especially well.

ELECTRICIAN WANTED
Warminster Area

Some of our lovely fundraisers are planning to do car boot sales for us this year. As we often get given electrical stuff, we could do with an electrician who will PAT test the items for us and stick a label on. Then we can sell things for sensible prices. At present we just ask for a donation and explain that the things work but we can't actually sell them.

So if you are legally able to certify the safety of electrical goods and you fancy helping a good cause could you email info@glwr.org.uk  or ring 01793 322602 and I will put you in touch.

Portraits of your pet or your house

Artist Margaret Irving Miller (designer of our gorgeous Christmas and Valentine's cards) is a versatile artist who works in different styles as you can see.


        

     


Prices start at £50.00 including P&P for an A5 portrait, which will be taken from your own photograph.

Margaret has very kindly offered to donate a percentage of any work done for customers who contact her through this website to GLWR.
